lock camshaft

give me stiffness of the spring and the included angle on the cone shape of the shaft.

resolving the spring force components along the axial and radial directions, I can tell you how much is the force required to cause deflection of the spring.

at 45degrees angle onthe slant face, force required is same as the stiffness of the srping

at angles higherthan 45degree,the force required is higher, as the slider travels more distance than the shaft.

at angles lower than 45 degree, the force required is less as the slider travels less distance than the shaft.

here (force*distance) on shaft = (force*distance) on slider axis
