lock dimensions, keeping

Every time I modify a sketch, all the dimensions that were locked are no longer locked. Is it possible to keep them locked? How?

thx

You can do this with relations by just going into Tools Relations and setting the dimensions to their existing values that you want to remain locked.

Since these are controlled by relations they will keep their values and prevent pro-e from modifying them when dragging entities.

if using WF 2.0 or earlier, no. You can't keep them locked. It's a royal P.I.T.A.

In WF 3.0, if a dimension is locked it remains locked forever.

thx guys, I must wait for IT to implement WF 3.0.

It is possible in WF2 too.... Poor PTC !!! being flogged savagely.

Tools>Options> sketcher_lock_modified_dims-----set it to "YES".

Have I understood your query correctly?

No that option will lock the dimension once you modify it, but if you exit sketcher and then re-enter, the dimension will no longer be locked.

Hint If you want to lock alle dimension in sketch: select all with ctrl+alt+a and then lock the dimension. Sometimes it is more easy to select all dimensions and lock and after only unlock what you need.
