Logo on part Surface

Hi there everyone!

let's see, i have some hand drawn logos, i would like to add as a part of a model surface.

i get sketchy drawings, scanning them, using 3rd party programs to vectorize/simplify a bit. Then i can import this to a Pro/E sketch.
So i have a simple flat surface, and a sketch with ... lots of lines/curves (not full loops, may be not even interconnecting"

I am a bit of loss, how can i make an elevation/etch kind of thing on a model part based on the sketch, what technique should i use? how do i even approach to solve this ?

I am thankful for any suggestion
(wf2 or wf5)

I clean up the sketch bit map geometry using Illustrator 'trace sketch' functions. Then I export that line art as a dxf. Then import that dxf into a Pro/E drawing....

there are a few options for exporting from illustrator when going to DXF. you should experiment with those options by utilizing the default options first... then changing only one option each try. (the Edison method)

Then move and rescale as necessary then export that dxf as an iges. Import that iges into Pro/E with respect to an added coordinate system that is parametric with respect to the original CSO. Now you have parametric control for moving the logo around .... then you use edge on that imported IGES for creating cuts on solids or projections onto surfaces.

I could explain that methodology or work-flow as well if you wish.

I use a similar overflow to import aerodynamic wing geometry that may require scaling since wing cross sections may vary in size across the length but remain constant with respect to profile.

BTW I am speaking at a Pro/E user conference in one hour and my topic is 20 tips and tricks you need to know and running thru this exercise hits 4 of my tricks.
