Machine building

Hi all.
I am not a mechanical engineer . I am studying
architecture. My design project this semester is
concerned with Machine building. Specifically with
the telecommunication exchange tower. The challenge
is that of representation. How do you represent a building
that is virtually and perhaps to certain degree physically a
large machine ( 30 000m square program, approx. 130 m tall
tower) but tries to imitate an office tower.
Well I did find a way which in my opinion works well
but I will not be explaining anything more about that. The
problem I am having is that my design is almost completely
comprised of spline profiles it resembles a little bit of 130X25X75
meter hull of vertically propped air plain. Being an organic shape
it also has high red colored glossy surface as facade, made of rectangular
grid of 1X1 meter panels or near that size. This panels will have to
contribute
to an overall appearance of the building as if it was streamline
composition
without diamond like faceting. This means that each panel will be almost
different
to the other and it will be curving in three directions. The question is.
Is there a program that I could use to import NURBS geometry from 3D
Max
, split it into 1X1 grid and be able to catalog paneling profiles for offsite
production. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
