.mat files

New member
I created .mat file by copying an existing mat file by exporting it to my hard drive.

I opened it in Word Pad - alter the information required like density etc.

I saved it to a new name.
Then I checkit(the new one) back into comonspace.
It shows up in the file names as material. In the same folder as all the other mat files.
However it dosen't show up when I Edit>>Setup>>Material>>Define.
the name dosen't appear here foe me to select!

Does anyone have an answer for this?

The path is OK and it hasen't changed for the existing mat files.
This was difficult tocatch what was actuallyhappening.

I discovered that when you rename xxxx.mat.495 and you remove the .495
it will change the format of the .mat file to a wordpad format. It needs to be a pro-e versioned file !

silly computers!

All is good!

thanks everybody.
