There seems to be a common problem getting color files to work. It does not matter how I set a path or how I name the file all I get is these default colors named
I am assuming you are talking about material files, .mtl files, that can have a color assigned to them.
It uses the global.dmt and not the appearance.dmt.
The config option global_appearance_file is used to locate the global.dmt file for color retrieval. I have mine located in my material directory and have the config option set and it works.
Yes I am working on material files and your suggestion works great (thank you). I have put together a nice set of color files for the materials we use including a dull<?:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comffice:smarttags" /><st1ersonName>,</st1ersonName> metallic<st1ersonName>,</st1ersonName> and transparent version for each. I would like these color files to be available in the appearance editor without having to navigate to the .dmt every time. <?:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" />
