Materials in WF3

Does anyone have experience with the new material interface in WF3? It appears to be much improved with an area for the material description. The problem is I cannot get that description to read into a parametric note. <?:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" />

Does anyone have any solutions?

WF3 Material Notes:<?:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" />

Well I have solved most of this problem. The new material interface has an info box that will give you a list of parameters that live in the .mat file; with those parameter names you can write the relations to read into a note.

Even though PTC has given us a description box that looks like it will hold a paragraph (quite useful and needed for a proper material callout) it will only hold a limited number of characters and will not word wrap even though you typed it in that way.

At the very least the new

The new material files create a number of "material_param" values that can be used. The "ptc_material_description" is the material file's description field. If that field of the material file is populated with text then you can report that description.

To report a model's material description on a drawing create the model parameter "MATERIAL". In the model's relations create the following material=material_param("ptc_material_description"). In the desired drawing table cell add the value &material to report the models' material description in the table cell.
