i print atleast 10 colored screen shots a day on average

normally i print them out using the default gray

if i have a colored printer with the blue/red/yellow & black

what colors should i print out to end up with no ink left

i am not going to print out solid yellow parts so maybe i print out using orange and green until the yellow is gone then go orange?

what are your thoughts

One thing to save on ink would be to change the background color to white. White uses no ink, and it makes the part show up better on paper.

Yup. I have a 'bgw' (background white) mapkey and a 'bgb' (background blue) mapkey. And obviously, if you can get by with a 'no hidden line'image instead of a 'shaded' image, then you are really getting somewhere.

ps. 'bgw' tweaks the system colors of all entities so they can be seen on a white background. You might go with a shade of gray instead of black in order to reduce ink usage.

I have my system setup to print as a generic color postscript. This only prints the part and not the background. The only problem is that I have to use the shade button on the tool bar instead of the shade option under the view menu. If I use the shade option the part will not print shaded.
