Mechanism parameter

I would like help in finding out how to have the regeneration value of a joint axis setting be tied to a parameter. I have tried using both a parameter of an analysis feature (length:FID_Analysis1) and as a parameter of the assembly (using a relation to tie the analysis feature to the parameter). Neither work. It always trips back to the manually entered value. I was told that "everything will be a parameter" with Wildfire 2. Is this not the case? Also, how can I get the sign on the value to be reversed; flipping the planes used in creating the connection will reverse the installation of the joint, so I do not think I can do it there.

Thanks in advance.

Matthew,

Were you able to solve your problem ? I don't know if I understand
fully what you are trying to do. What do you need to set a parameter
for the joint axis. Usually you can setup the starting location of the
join axis given the initial assembly position. Once you do that
you can take a snapshot of the assembly and use that initial position
to start your analysis everytime without the need to reset the joint
axis every time. As to reversing the joint you will have to
reasemble your assembly to match the datum planes. If you applying a
torque to that specific joint you may be able to assign a negative
value to rotated the opposite way from the joint direction. If you
assign a measure to the joint but you want to see the opposite results,
in wilfire 2.0, you can use computed measueres and assign a negative
sign to see the opposite of the results you get from the original
measure.
