Merging parts in assembly for prototype

is there a way I can take an assembly and turn all the parts into one mass for prototype purposes? I have a bunch of individual assembled parts and we want to get a prototype made to show the size and space of the unit but I don't want or need to get a prototype of each individual component at this time. I just want to combine parts into one so that we can speed up the prototoype process.

Is this possible?

I found something buried in the edit-component operations command to merge parts into another one. kind of clunky and hidden but it should do the trick.

Why dont you save it in STL format which can be used for RPT purpose.
