Mesh problems with COSMOS 2008

I have recently upgraded to SW2008 and COSMOS 2008. Automatic meshing works fine in COSMOS, but anytime I manually change the element size, I get errors reading "specified element size of 1.967e-199 is too small". I can change the element size to whatever I want and can never get a valid mesh (without using the default mesh-and-run button).


Any ideas? I'm stumped and very frustrated!
