Hi

I was wondering if anyone might be able to give me any pointers in how to go about modelling these triple flanged drum hoops,

I can create a sweep on the hoop but the problem I am having is making the so called "ears" that stick out with the holes in, if any9one has any usggestions I would be really appreciative!

Cheers

Maybe a sweep of one of the ears then a pattern?

The only other suggestion I can think of is to create a cylinder, cut out or extrude square ears, put a (variable?) radius on the outside, then shell the whole thing.

I would build the entire thing as a surface.

Create the loop, create the ear, pattern the ear, merge all the surfaces,
extrude it as a thin feature, done.

If this is critical and needs to be spot on, you can get is laser scanned and
converted. If you need that done I can do it for a fairly small fee.

Good luck.
