Model display

ZIMMER1

I can't find anything about this so--

When in a shaded model and zoomed in enough, all the surfaces and rounds look good but when I zoom out enough to be able to see most of the part a hole or void shows up usually where different surface meet or on rounds.

This doesn't look good when you are making visual files for marketing and/or customers.

Any ideas?

128 mg ATI card and accuracy is usually set down to 10ths on an inch

I have the same problem. The only answer that I know of is to get a better graphics card. You can check Ptc's website for registered graphics cards.

yeah I was thinking the same thing only the card I have is (supposedly) on the cretified list by ptc.

I wonder if a card with more capacity would help? 256 or 512 maybe?

Try changing your model display quality...

#view #Display Settings #Model Display

Select #Shade Tab then change your #Quality to like 8.

and check #small surfaces in the shade area.

I don't think ProE has a config setting sorry. Hope this helps...

Yeap, Marine1 has it figured out, but on a complex model that can make modeling and rotating quite time consuming. It is great that ProE lets us change to what is appropriate at the time!

I have the following mapkey in my config.pro file which I run at the start of each session. Will increase shade quality to 10, show small surfaces and turn of the tolerance dispaly at the bottom of the screen.

!mapkey - INCREASE SHADE QUALITY TO 10
