Model temporarily highlights white

I have created a part model in WF4. I am constructing a tubular support structure for a body panel, so I imported an igs of the body parts the structure will support to design within the geometry of the body parts. Imagine having a bumper cover made of plastic that requires metal structure underneath.

For some reason when I try to select one of the structure features I have created the hole model turns bright whitepauses and then allows me slect a feature ( turns red). W

by the way Jim works at NASCAR the governing body there of.

Hi Jim,

I think that is new in WF4.0 as those PTC guys change the iges import stuff. You now have an iges doctor (to borrow from SW) to contend with. There you can redefine an iges model and do with it as you please like in WF3.0. We did not do our class in WF4.0 did we? Anyways I can walk thru the geometry over the phone. Otherwise keep poking around with the icons and you will get it to redifine the iges. I have to have it in front of me to get her to work.

Thanks Bart, I'll start poking....Although its not the iges import that momentarily turns white, its the whole part model (the fearures I have created along with the igs imports. Frustrating because it does it every time you mouse over the model. Also, i cant hide one of the imported ogs models..

BTW...I think weused WF3in your surfacing workshop....I think I need a refresher. I have beome lazy and lost some of the deatailed techiques you showed us.

I think I still have a disclosure. Send me the file via email and I will then have the same model you have and we can walk thru the menu picks together.
