modeling a ice skate holder

I am relatively new to Pro/E. I am able to complete simple extrudes and such but I have been attempting to model an ice skate holder (the part between the boot and the blade) I want one that looks similar to a TUUK. I have tried blends but there is something that I am missing. I am also confused on ho to accomplish the feature where the holder will mount to the boot since it is hollowed out in both dircetions. I do not have the surfaces pkg. Would the best method be to use blends or is there another technique I should investigate?

Well i had to google it to figure out what your trying to do but it doesnt look impossible, but for a beginner it could be tricky. It is certainly possible using boundary blends, you should also look into the VSS ( Variable Section Sweep ) feature too, although that can be tricky. Post images and let us know how you ge on, show us where you get to and we will advise from there.

Also.... dont try to do the thing all in one surface, split it up into sections. From the looks of it they are pretty symetrical and you could just model the one quarter.

I bought Ice skates (hockey) just before I dislocated my knee (walking to the bank) and went on crutches for the winter. I paid 8 bucks extra for the blade covers and thought that model would be a great level one model. It has draft and some sweeps. Ill post a model this week.

Any UFC fans out there? I partied with Stephan Bohnar last night.
