Modeling Threads

CHIVERS

New member
I need to show a section through an assembly showing various threaded parts fitting together. What is the best method to achieve this?. I've tried searching the forum but the search seems to not work.

I've tried modeling the threads with helical sweeps, but how do I assembly the threaded parts correctly to show the thread details. Has anyone got a modelled threaded part that I could have a look at or a similar example.

Anybody got apro-engineer hole tabel file for BSP threads.

Cheers

Chivers,

Add a common reference, say a datum point, to each part that will orient the thread mating at the desired condition and relative depth. Usethe pointalong with an axis alignment in assembly and the threads will be lined up correctly for your section or view.

I hope interpreted your question correctly.
