Modify part parameters within Intralink?

element

New member
I have the task of 'fixing' a large number of parts that users have checked into Intralink that are missing parameters. I believe that my only course is to check out and open each then edit the parameters and check back in.
I see that a BOM_report can be done within commonspace - is there a way of editing the parameter of parts from within Intralink without checking out each individual part?

Working with Intralink 3.3

TIA

You will need to check it out, but if the parameter is shared with Intralink you can change the parameter in workspace without start ProE. Next time ProE is opening this part the parameter is changed

I think you can do it without check out with a sql script, but this is not easy if you do not have a lot of sql and oracle knowledge.

As jnoval said, you can modify the parameters in the workspace only if they are designated.

And, you need to set the table configuration to show parameters, you want to modify.

I work for a Pro/E reseller that has written toolkit applications to automate this type of task. We have a commandline utility that will batch update multiple parameters on a list of objects without any user intervention.
