Modifying the size of a format

This has always been a problem and I've never found a solution:

I created a "D" sized format and customized the title block (table with parameters) added a logo, tolerance block, etc. Looks great. Now I want to simply change this to a "C" size format. But there is no way (that I've found) to change the size of an existing format. I don't mean change the size of a format in a drawing, I mean change the size of the format itself.

Am i overlooking something, or do I really have to start from scratch creating my "C" size format that I want to have the same contents as my "D" format?

Export the tables as table files

Export the format (without tables) to IGES

Create a new format in C-size and import the IGES (say Yes to resize ofthe import geometry) and finally import the tables and place them in the format.

This is the way we do it...
