Motor - Rotor pole winding

hi all,<br style="font-family: Verdana,Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><br style="font-family: Verdana,Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">i am working in rotor. previously all the drawing made by us is a 2d thing & for this motor we are trying to move to 3d. finally i stuck up with the rotor pole windings. <br style="font-family: Verdana,Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">do any one help me in doing this??<br style="font-family: Verdana,Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><br style="font-family: Verdana,Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; font-weight: bold;">i need to construct a curve like how it wound over the rotor. i tried by constructing lot of planes and it become very complicated !!!<br style="font-family: Verdana,Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><br style="font-family: Verdana,Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">so pls help me construct some really good and flexible curves.<br style="font-family: Verdana,Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
 
the coil itself can be a simple sweep and patterened or use a variable section sweep and sketch the cross sections, the problem is that each winding has to 'cross over'. When you do the first sweep you need to leave a gap, so tou can model the transition piece separately

Is this for calculation or for illustration? If you need the model/assembly to look like it has a large number of windings you can make a "ring" with a VSS/Sweep (or extrude if it is flat/rectangular as shown) and then make a patten of that feature.
 
For cylindrical coil winding I just use a simple revolve for the windings then I use a point array and a pipe feature for the start and end terminations. Just like accurate screw threads mostly just bog the system down, I don't do every every helical turn in a 300 turn coil.
