move remote vault in 3.4

We are moving a remote vault from a unix box to a windows box. I would like to verify the process to move the contents. I believe that I can just use the move command in DSMU. Is that correct?
Thanks

<DIV>The best way is to simply copy the files to the new vault.</DIV>
<DIV>When you use DSMU move, choose the manual option.</DIV>
<DIV>After you are done, do a missing-file report to confirm that all is well.</DIV>

You can use the DSMU but I have had trouble with that because of the path differences in the past between the unix box and windows, as well the server name need to be changed as well for the location of the vault. In this case you will need to update the path manually like Gerry said which is easier to do.

You can also do this outside, which works perfect just that you need to use a command prompt.
To do it oustide the DSMU, you would use the SVRMGRL prompt, it is actually very easy to do this way but would contact PTC on how to do this because you need to make sure that you type everything in correctly, and I don't have my sheet in front of me and do not know your particulars.

Thanks for all the responses. Using DSMU worked great, except for the fact I cannot remove the old unix file server. Anyone experience this before?
