MOVING A FILE

I ACCIDENTLY SAVED A DRAWING FILE IN THE WRONG FOLDER AND NEED TO MOVE IT. WITH THE MODEL AND THE DRAWING OPEN I WENT IN TO WINDOWS EXPLORER AND MOVED THE DRAWING FILE TO THE CORRECT FOLDER. WHEN I SAVED SOME ADDITONAL CHANGES TO THE DRAWING FILE IT SAVED IT BACK TO THE ORIGINAL WRONG LOCATION. HOW CAN I SAVE TO THE NEW LOCATION WHERE I NEED IT.

If you save it then just erase all data from memory or shut down Pro and then in windows move your file and reopen it. You should have everything back together again.

You also couold just back up your drawing to a new location and all the component related to your drawing will be placed in the same file. Either way you must erase from memory what you have now....

hi,

its always good to work with "set working directory", by which u can avoid such cases.and ur work is in known location.

yes i typically use the set working directory but that day i had the problem i was working on a project and had one small thing i had to draw up for another project and forgot to change it. i did get the file moved to where i need it and everything is working fine now. thanks for all the help.
