Multiple view states

bem

I forgot how to do this. How do you show a model in two different states in a drawing. Like something with a lid in the open & closed states?

TIA

If your model has instances, one for each state, you can use both models in the same drawing. Right click on the screen and go to properties, drawings models, add. Select the second instance and insert a new view.

You can also use exploded states to show an open or closed lid. You can define them in the model through the view manager.

It sounds likeyou want one single view showing an open and closed lid. To do thatsimply add a second lid to your assembly and constrain one as open and one as closed.

Creating process asm is the best way to show the multiple steps and the same part in different (open or closed) position.

Views can be created for any steps. Reposition can be done to show the cover in open position. You can create a step with reposition with respect to the axis and then show the cover in open positon.

Thanks & Regards
