I've seen alot of this rendering stuff and decided to give it a shot...(modeled a slightly more aggressive turbo than the one on my desk!)...My goal was to see the reflection of the blades on the housings inlet...I at least accomplished that!! yey me!!

The last one is what this thing looks like before I render using photolux... is it supposed to be that dramatic of an alteration or am I doing something wrong? When using Photo render the change is more dramatic (opposite in effect: my darker lux using photorenderpic looks almost like my before lux shot). Is this the tool or ME???

I obviously didn't play with backgrounds...that'll be next time...i have to read up on bump files / maps???

When you guys are rendering what type of intensities (color / value) for your defaultambient and distant(hell all of your lighting) are you using? I can't seem to use the defaultwell..
