Need help to Save a Copy of an assembly

Hello everybody, let's see if anyone can help me with my concern:

I have an assembly, there are library components and custom components. Custom components are named after the rule xxxx-0001, xxxx-0002,...

I want to create a copy of that assembly renaming the custom components to yyyy-0001, yyyy-0002,...

I've tried to save a copy, if I use the renaming tool with all the components selected in Save a Copy dialog box, ¡ I get that nasty suffix in the components I dont want to rename.

I know I can select the components I want to rename manually, but I'm dealing with 2000+ pieces assemblies.

Is there any way to get rid of the suffix?
Is there a way to select only the components I want to rename using the Search Tool?

I've also tried to load a previously saved text file to rename components, but nothing happens.

I'm working with Wildfire 4.0 M040.

Thank you in advance for your help

you need to use the Naming Rule: Use Template. When you select this option a little yellow box will appear explaining how to achieve the naming rule you need.

I'd create a smaller assembly frst to practice on if I were you.

Thank you pjw

OK, that works with the components that match the naming rule.

But the problem is that the library components than don't match this rule, get the suffix "_", when I want reuse them.

My question is if there is a quick way to select the components wich I want to apply the naming rule.
