Hello,
My name is Roel and i am a student technology manegement at hanze hogeschool in holland.
For a project we have learned to master master solid works but we ran in to a problem.
We in our student group devided the parts and made them without any problems but now we ran into a problem while assembling this parts together we found out that I made my parts in inches while my student mate somehow made them in mm.
For us this was alot of work and now they don't fit togher since we don't have anaugh time to make all parts all over again i was hoping that there was an option to change all the inches into mm at once.
I really hope that someone can help me with this i'm using SolidWorks 2007.
Thank you.

No worries...select Tools>Options>Document Properties Tab>Units... select the units you wantat the top. All your dims will then be converted.

hey burnsp
Thanks for the help but I still got a problem. The sizes changed to mm but it didnt convert the sizes it is still the same size as before. 22in changed in to 22mm witch should be ALOT less. I hope there is still a solution for this.
Thanks

try using the scale feature. Scale your part by 1/25.4.

This should bring the model down to the right size. ProE has the ability to convert the part from inches to mm and hold the values so that 1inch on the part will then become 1mm but i'm not sure if SW has this. Anyway, try the scale feature. It will work

That's odd. When I changed my units in SW2007, they were converted properly. Try a new part and see what you get. FYI, there are 25.4mm/inch, so something that was 22 inches long should now be 558.8mm long.
