no edge constraints?

normal behavior in sketcher would allow automatic constraints on new objects. For instance, if I draw a square, and swtich to the line tool, with the mouse close enough, the start point of the new line would be on the edge of the square I just drew. maybe on the corner, maybe in the middle, but it would be on the existing line. This morning, when I turned on my computer, that feature is not there. I can't even snap to the references. I have to place the object, and then dimension the start point 0 from vertical ref, and 0 from horizontal ref.

I can't think of any reason this would have changed. It was fine last night, but not this morning. I've even rebooted again. read thru config.pro, etc. any suggestions?

Do you have Intent Manager ON? (Sketch > Intent Manager)

Here was the answer. For some reason it didn't take effect until 2 days after I had made the change. Or I should say it didn't affect the constraints until this morning.

The sketcher relative accuracywas set to a low value (.0001 from the post).

I had set sketcher_rel_accuracy at ".0005". Which caused problems. the default is "-1"
