Offset all surfaces

I have a solid model of a part which is machined and then plated. The part dimensions are inclusive of the plating. The manufacturing engineer would like a drawing of the part before plating. How can I make a model of the part with all surfaces offset 10 microns inside the existing solid?

I tried selecting all the solid surfaces and then edit/offset. Under references it has surface sets & sketch. The surface set is OK. I don't understand what the sketch does. I don't see how it would be possible to control all the surfaces with a single sketch, do I have to break up the surface set into a bunch of subsets?

OK, I have figured it out. I copied the solid surfaces, then offset the copied surfaces then did a solidify. A new solid part with external dimensions shrunken by 10 microns and internal dimensions increased by 10 microns per side.

yes, I believe you have to copy and paste the surfaces back , then you can offset to your hearts desire the quilt

bit off the topic... but if you want to Thicken, more or less same thing aftercopy/paste

but on the dashboard is toggle side... both sides is right click the end of the arrow
