Parameter Info

Found something else that is begining to bug me a lot.....

The company I am working for at the moment have a lot of legacy parts that were created before they adopted 'start parts'. Consequently there are a lot of parts/assemblies that have blank parameter info.

I was wondering if there was any way of copying info from a file that has the info embedded (due to start part) tothe blank parameter legacy files. I realise that you can export the info to a .inf (that you can open in Notepad) but I can't find a way to import it back intothe blank file.

Cheers

I think the easist way to solve this problem is to record a mapkey that adds all of the parameters that you want and then run the mapkey whenever you come across a part that doesnt have parameters.

Now thats an option I hadn't thought of, I'll give it a try

I've been using the mapkey solution. It works well unless one of the parameters I'm trying to add already exists (if someone happened to manually add one). That causes the mapkey to fail.
