there is not any posibilities to show in note two parameters

For example i need to create in note the next parameters

&asm.mbr.name

&asm.mbr.product_name

\any help for similar problems?/

Cristelino

you can add parameters in notes by entering &(parameter name):(session id)- where parameter name and seesion are id are respective to the appropriate part.

tHANKS jrobi for your quick answer

the photo attached tell more abbout i want

the note where the part numbur and part name is showing was created manually

is special demand of my client: they don t accept a table with repeat region in drawings

What i want is to create a note with parameters, after regeneration the note show the parametersView attachment 1209

iS THAT POSSIBLE OR NOT?I mind if i created a note with this parameters ,after regeneration the parameters are displayed?

AHA-D

In your example is exactly what i want

i want to replace in boom ballons the number with some parameters, and if that is regenerated and displayed automaticly is perfect

I create a repeat region where i have in the same cell &rpt.index and &asm.mbr.name but the result is system show only the numbers, and if i create a note the radio button with rep.sym sistem is inactive

Im sure is a little tips but i can t find.i m sure a little example will be great

Thanks in advance Cristelino

Parametric notes do not depend on the presence of a BOM. I went through some testing to get the picture (more or less).

Your note should be with 'leader' or 'on item'. The part parameter should exist before you enter it in a note. ProE is rather picky on where you attach. For instance : lines created as section borders are no good, even if they identify a part without ambiguity. When you loose the parameter relation by attaching to an edge that is not acceptable, there's no way to get it back. In ProE 2001 I can only enter parameters 'by hand' (which is very poor as user interface if you ask me, but then again it is ProE, isn't it).

The basic way of getting a parameter is by preceding it with '&' and attaching ':att' for attachment. Attachment can be further specified (according help) by using :

Param_name:att_edge

Edge

Param_name:att_feat

Feature

Param_name:att_mdl

Model

Param_name:att_cmp

Component

Finally i found the problem

From the start my models have already a lot of parameters.I do that because is simple to fill the parameters value in part model and if you have the same parameters in drawing table, logo, materials, etc,is easier and faster to fiiltables

Whatwas unexpected for me,is the way to make difference between parts, features, models and components

our explanationwas very usefull and thaks once again....... but i have another question

Is possible in boom balons to make choice what is tha fisrt stat number for

&rpt.index?

Anyway thanks a lot

Cristelino

You can fix the every index to a desired value with table/repeate region/fix index, but you have to do it for every component.

I have the same problem you had: I have a drawing with the assembly and the components of it. I want to add a note with the index ofthe component to the view of the component. I tried with: &rpt.index:att_cmp, but it doesn't work.
