Parameters & Relations

I've used pro for years but never created parameters and relations that much. I now need to set some to make my job easier. I was wondering if any one can point me to a site to get me going. I'm looking to make start parts and have my overall sizes update in my assembly drawing bom along with entering material type a what not. I work in tool & die and the company doesn't have any thing set up. I appreciate your help.

It is not so hard, u can do easily but make things listed and then make your priority. I think 1st u must set your start parts and if you need to make a lot of start parts and make features in it, do it first. I am teling you first thing to make perameteres. first make a cube (for example) then go to tool>>perameters>>and create a new perameter named length, select real num in type and put any value here, like 100. make two more perameters named width and height same. now go to model tree and select your extrude feature, rmb, edit, then go to info>>switch dimensions, now u can see dimension perameters instead of value, click the lenght wise dim and type "length" instead of value, pro will show u a msg, click yes. now change another two values for width and height. now go to perameters and change their value, and regenerate.

its a simple way to start this, after that move ahead.
