hi all,

i tried a parametric gear in which i like to have number of teeth as one parameter.

but i could not enter the value for "number of copies"for patterning as the parameter.

Pro/Etakes only numerical values for "number of copies" and not parameter name.

please can any one help me in this regard

thanks

If you are trying to get the number of teeth onto a drawing, you might try creating a table that has the dimension asigned to it. If you "edit" your pattern, select the "group" number, and then "right-click", goto properties, and find out what that variable name is. It should be something like "p1083". In your table, enter &p1083. I haven't tried this before, but it just might work.
