part automatically zooms itself

Hi all -

Whenever I complete the redefine of a feature within a part and hit the green checkmark, the part usually zooms in or outat what seem like an arbitrary distance. It's annoying because I usually want to see what I just redefined and "poof" the whole part zooms off the screen. I have to scroll in or out to reposition the part where I originally had it. Can anyone explain why Pro-e does this?

Thanks

It usually happens to me whenI'm dealing withimported geometry, with it's origin CSYS miles and miles away from the actual model...sometimes it's planes, sometimes "orphan" curves or points. Usually hunting them down and quick kill with Delete button helps.

I believe it happens when spin center is turned off and you have just rotated about geometry that was redefined and it loses the position based on that geom.

I know having spin center turned off is the culprit.

If you dont believe me, turn spin center on for a hour or so and see if it does it to you then.

As annoying as it is I dont think I could would with the spin center turned on.

I have created a mapkey "p" to take me to the previous view.

It activates view->orientation->previous

you may want to add that if you intend on keeping the spin center off
