Part count on part drawing

I am working with a master assembly that contains subassemblies within subassemblies. I have drawings for the individual parts and for each layer of assembly.

Does anyone know of a way to populate a table within the drawing for an individual subcomponent to contain the number of times that subcomponent appears within the master assembly? I know how to show quantities of subcomponents within an assembly drawing, but in this case it would be convenient to show on the individual part drawing how many instances will be needed per the master assembly.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Add the assembly model to the drawing, make it the active
model, then create a bom table and hide all the other
components you don't want to show. You don't need to show
any views of the assembly.

You might be able to make a parametric note instead, I
haven't tried it though.
