Part modeling in assembly mode

from my experience i tell franklly for some type of desingn is better but you will have problems with regenerations

I think from a lot of time abbout (for me is more complicate because i want to create directlly in mechanism module all of my dettached parts)

Is difficult to explain but you must understand first all option abbout new component creation in assembly mode

Others posibility is to meke copy with from others models

It is a good idea, but i have a component that loosing external copy surfaces every time when i'm regenerating the assembly.
This gives me a thing that it could be a problem on some component - the lost sorce surfaces and parrent refferents belongs to same component. And evry time when I try to regenerate the whole assembly these refferents nedded to be redefined.
I works much with surfaces, I left components unplaces and then placed them using datum planes (this make sure placment after draft creation), but probebly I make some other mistakes.
