pattern of pattern

is it possible to create a pattern of a pattern

eg. i would like to create a dimension pattern of a hole(in x, and y direction)and then pattern this by a `pitch' value

DD,

Depends which version of WF you have.

In WF1 try making a pattern, putting that pattern in a group by itself, then patterning the group. You can trick it in letting you pattern a pattern (this is how you do it in WF2)

WF3 - yes

Note, if your first pattern is a 'ref pattern', you must include the original feature/componentin the group in order to 'group pattern' it.

Otherwise, this approach works great.

thanks to everyone,

i am using wf3 m060 aax standalone

i tried patterning a dimension pattern againbut it won't let me select certain dims, like it allows me to select hole dia and depth but not others like x,y dims, by accident i discovered that if this dim pattern is again patterned by direction it worked, but is this a robust method? proe help says except group pattern, feature pattern pattern, all pattern can be patterned,so in which cat. this pattern falls?
