Pattern of rectangular hole

Hi,

I would like to know how to create a pattern of rectangular holes on a disk. I'm able to create a pattern of circular hole ( with hole tool ) but I'm not able to do same thing when I created a rectangular hole with a extrusion.

It is like the previous image but with rectangular holes.

I just created what you are asking, and was able to do it bycreating a datum on the fly when selecting a reference for the rectangular hole. Then I used the axis pattern and it worked fine.

The model of hfd36jtb it is exactly what I want to do. My problem is how to define the the measure who change to create the pattern. Presently, in the sketch of my square cut I define an angle measure between on plan and a side of the square. When I define the pattern I use this measure. Is it the right way because I don't obtain good result.

I think I understand what you are trying to do. Make sure in your sketch you do not tie the angular dimension to the datum plane to define the angle. Create the datum plane on the fly and set the angle of the created datum plane, use it for a reference and then use axis pattern from the dashboard menus.

Are you using WF2? This is a WF2 part file. I hope it helps explain things.

PM me if you need more assistance.
