Pattern with lots of members

I am trying to figure out the best practice for modelling a fin (see image). The fin in the image only have 12 pattern members, but the one I need will have approx. 150 members.

My problem is that modelling it by using the pattern feature, it takes forever to regenerate since it has +1500 features. Does anyone have any suggstions on how to model this part, without to many features?

Thank you in advance.

For a start, redo the model so you only need one feature per fin instead of 10.

Probably using a thin section. Only use sheet metal functionality
if it adds value otherwise it will be slower than the equivalent thin
solid part.

It should also be possible to have several fins per feature. You are
only limited by what can sketched reliably and the lowest common
denominator.
