PDMLink 9.0: - Rename - The Name is back

1.) New object in workspace is renamed:






2.) "File Name" and "Name" in PDMLink looks like I want:






3.) After export to disk (File > Backup in Pro/ENGINEER), open from disk and save object in another workspace the "Name" is no changing:






4.) and if you show the object in WordPad the first name is here:








Question: How rename object "Name" in PDMLink -for ever?

Make sure that the file is check in and removed from your workspace. Then make sure no one has it in others workspace ( or in the proccess it will tell you who does). Then on your wksp do search for the prt you want to rename. Select the file and instead of opening it, just go rename and you'll have three rename(#,file and name) Just remember do not check-out, or open the file and then update or refresh.

An Intralink rename does not actually rename the physical file stored at Windows level - only the file stored in the Oracle database.
