phantom surfaces at weird angle when merg

Hey Guys,


Has anyone notice that when you merge two surfaces, occasionally, you get a strange projected phantom surface that goes away when you complete the feature. If you delete and remerge it is still there. Same thing with a system reboot. If anyone has seen this or knows what causes it please let me know.
