Plot Banner on Student Edition

Pro/E Wildfire 2.0 prints "For Educational Purposes Only" plot banner across all four sides when printing drawings. Does anyone know how to remove this 'bug' or of a way to circumvent this. It makes the entire drawing look terrible.

It is to be sure that you don't use the educational version to produce commercial (for profit) drawings.

dr_gallup,

First it was 'freeze a chicken'and now this. You really are a duct tape & bailing wire kind of guy aren't you.

I do agree it is a little annoying when the " education. . ." note falls on the dimension that I am trying to read.

I had this problem on a project we were doing in school. I think the way we got around it was to make a custom E size drawing format, but we created a border that was inside the "For Educational Purposes Only" banner. Then we printed to a postscript file and cropped using ghostscript/ghostview. It took us a while to work it out and automate it, but we were students and had plenty of time to hack at it (and avoid our real work). I think you need to play around alot with line widths and what not to get it to look right.

I can't remember all the details 'cause we abandoned that method when the school went the wildfire 2.0. After that the shool version of pro didn't have the banner any more.

As a side note, i read someplace that on the reallyold student editions of pro (vs. 18??) you could print the banner at size zero and the note disappeared, but we couldn't figure that out on the new version.
