points of conic spring with pitch graph

Standa

New member
Hi all,

I have conic springwith pitch controled by graph and I need set of points of this spring. At least 10 per one thread in cylinder coordinates extracted in ACSII file.

Cartesian coordinates also suit, but cylinder is better.

Does it ever possible in Proe wildwire2? Or any other idea?

Many thanks

If you drew the graph of the pitch, it should not be that hard to write the parametric equations of r, θ and z as a function of t between 0 and 1 and program these into your favourite spreadsheet.

Come to think of it you might even be able to do it as a relation pattern of points or a combination of value patterned points defined in cylindrical co-ordinates.
