prevent instances to be assambled

We have our standard parts in family table.
Now we have to reduce the number of instances to be assembled in Pro/E.


If they wouldbe deleted, existing assemblies with these instances would crash.


Is there a way to prevent certain instances from beeing assambled?
Setting the instance to a release level with view only authorisation doesn't have any effect.

You could add a column to the family table that designates the parts as being standard or non-standard, with the non-standard being the ones that are no longer approved for use.

You could add a text extrude with something like NO which means not to assemble. You then add that to the family table and pick which ones get the NO.
