Primary reference for hole placement

Trying to select an ID cylindrical surface for primary reference (for hole placement),

is not warking.



Any ideas?

CYlindrical surfce for hole placement has to be convex, not concave.

You could try inserting datums and axis.

Is the axis of your new hole normal to the cylindrical surface or coaxial?



If it is coaxial, create an axis through the cylinder if it is not
already there. If however it is normal to the cylinder you will
probably need to do a rotational cut instead of using the hole wizard.
