Israr,

Iam sorry again to ask, but should you had to necessarily say "not indian site"..?

you could have easily said , "not a site for pirated software"..

Manoj,

WF 3.0 can be ordered from PTC if you have purchased WF 2.0.

DR_gallup,

I wish to always wanted to know how the license file controls the license being issued via flem lm lic. management....

what i am exposed to is that the lic file is generated for a machine using its ethernet id / mac id (unique to the machine)..so that machine can be a license server for the licenses..

how exactly things are controlled? i can change the lic file to suit my mac id...i know it does not work, but how "it does not work"?

There are also "INCREMENT"lines in the file that Pro/E checks against to be sure that you have access to a module.

Check your network traffic and you will see that as Pro/E opens, it is send requests to the license server asking bfor permission to open a Pro/E module.

There is some sort of algorithm (highly proprietary) that takes the 12 digit hexadecimal mac ID, the license options, vendor string, # of licenses, etc. and generates the 20 digit hexadecimal license code. Change anything & it does not work.
