prob wid pattern along curve

I came across the prob as u can see in the pic





the teeths r coming out around the corner though its not a perfect drawing but still wanna know the funda how this stuff work and can someone please tell me how i can obtain the pattern perfectly along the curves waiting for the reply

I would pattern a group along the curve,


the group would contain:


a point on the curve. a plane through the point normal to the curve. protrusions referencing that plane for their orientation.
