problem in extrusion / cut....red circles

hello folks,

I have a problem with an extruded cut.

In
the preview of the feature (right before I click the green check mark)
I can see small red circles at certain locations along the extruded cut
profile.

what do they mean? is there a problem with the sketch?

The
system says the feature could not intersect the part, and fails.
Suggests redefining, but what is the problem with the red circles?

any thoughts/ideas area appreciated.

I think you probably have a problem with the sketch itself.
Try and do a trim/extend at the intersections of those
sketch entities and see if that may fix somethings or do a
same point constraint at the endpoints of those entities.
