problem in thickening

New member
I'm try to thicken a stylequilt (red)by 1.00mm, but the thicken feature (norm. to surf.)and also the offset, doesn't want to make the outer border (img.2)it does only the internal part (green). I think the radius are not too small....any idea why and how to solve it?Thanks

Hi!..

First of all, trythis:

1. Change filter to "Quilts" (bottom right corner of Pro/E window);

2. Select the target quilt;

3. Then select Analysis -> Geometry -> Offset

Offset Dialog appears...

4. Select "Definition" bookmark and enter Distance value you want:

5.Explore carefully the Meshed surface to identify problem locations.

*Sometimes it helps...

Do not forget check Info -> Geometry Checks

after thicken operation.

*But better, Attach the file to this topic if it is possible!
