Hi there im new to this forum. I have been trying to model a wedge system on ProE with MDO to calculate forces / frictional forces etc. I have assembled the wedges using planar mechanism connections and i am trying to assign some dynamic properties from within the Standard Environment. When you are in the placement dialog box it gives you the option to go in and assign dynamic properties to specific translation / rotation axes but no matter which way i do it the Friction properties are always greyed out and you cannot click the Enable Friction button to assign the friction properties. I have been trying assembling it with different techniques but the buttons are always greyed out and i cant enable the friction. Is there something im missing ? Is there specific requirements for when you can actually assign friction properties to a translation axis? Do you need something on top of the Mechanism Dynamics Option License for this to work? The only thing that seems to be selectable is the coefficient of restitution. Any advice help on this would be very appreciated.
