ProE can put wrong dimension?

Hello everybody!

In draw bellow you can see same dimension. Dimension for the hole
diameter is 83 but the diameter for the screw holes is 40 (in reality
is 100). The circle for disposal holes is created with Create circle.
What is the reason for this deviation?

Thanks in advance!

If your drawing view is scaled at .500, and you "sketch a circle" in drawing mode, the dimension will be half of what it should be. Instead of doing it this way, Create a datum curve in the part mode, using 3 of the axis to align with. Then right-click the datum curve, properties, and change the color and line style to what you want. You can create a dimension in drawing mode on this circle and get the proper dimension.

A better way to do this, is to do a radial patter for the screw holes. When showing the axis of mother feature, the bolt circle will automatically show up as an axis. When you show the dimensions of the mother feature, the bolt circle dimension will be there.

If you everHAVE to work with drawn entities, RELATE the entity to the view, then it will dimension at the same scale as the view, and it will move around with the view. Try to stay away from it though, as appinmi suggests.

I general, dimensioning any2D drafting entities on a drawing can be dangerous.

I recommend that users don't dmension anything that doesn't come right from the model.
