ProE M020 X64 - optimization well not run

Hi everyone,


I have ProE M020 X64 running on WXP 64 system. I have problem with optimization and sensitivity analysis. It shows that it is running ..... but it is not !!!!!!


and no results is coming .......... it starts normally until the step" starting Proenginner in the background ..." and it open rundpi in the command prompt window .... and that is it ????? !!!!! nothing happen after that step ... i mean i do not get error message or crash .... or results !!????

Have you set up your analysis correctly? How big is your analysis? If you have set upyour analysis incorrectly or ifit is very complex, it may take a longer time than usual. Is there any activity on your processor? You can check this by opening your task manager and looking at the performance graph. Also, you want to look through your processes and see if msengine.exe is running and whether it is using any CPU time.

I did all what you said before, there are no process running at all. And I tried the process with a simple Beam (which worked normally before with M010 X32) ..... and it had the same response ...... nothing is running at all ... just DOES NOT want to go to the next strep which is " Regenerate Model in Pro/Engineer .." .


msengine.exe CPU = 00. It just stop there, do not know why.


I have AMD Athlon 64 processor. 1 GB Ram. 256 MB graphics card (pci express) and running Windows Xp 64-bit edition. I do not know what is that ???? Do u have the same version like me M020 X64??

You created a simple analysis with one constraint and one force load on a very simple model (one feature)and it still hangs like that? Not sure... If you can, you may want to contact PTC. Of course, if your hardware is not on their supported list, they will not be very helpful.


I'm using an older version - wf1 (although I sometimes use wf2). We can't officially upgrade yet because we have too much automation.
